- Indenture dated 14th August, 1760 William de Soresby of Chesterfield, 'Translated out of French' [Wm de Soresby a native of Chesterfield dwelling in this city of Liege for several years past' and being sick in bed, wishes to follow up an agreement made in London in 1758 - his will follows - translated out of French in London by the notary public [seal is fragmenting]

- ' 10th Augt 1728 / Release from Marples / to/ Mr Wm Soresby/' inside, date indicates 1716 - Marples from the City of London, Gent. Also mentioned is Lord Kingston of Hull]

- ' D Kingston and Soresby/ ? June 29/ 1716' [ Agreement dated June 29 1716 signed and sealed by Kingston and Soresby and witnessed by J Banks and John Clay]

- "Copys of Cromford ?papers' [paper scribbled on outside with calculations and the nam 'Thomas'. Ex curio Cant In Codicil 14th Augt 1662 Dame Mary Armyn ]

- Letter: 10 Oct, 1720 and addressed ' To/ Mr William Hodgkinson at Mr William /Hayward's Merchant/ in London'. 'A rentall of Mr Wm Soresby/ Estate at Cromford 1720'. [Enclosed in a white paper folder .Modern pencil annotation relating to a calculation. The letter gives to a sketch of the Estate of Cromford & Middleton and is an effort to sell the property, possibly using Hodgkinson as a middle man]

- ' Soresby Esq/ to/ Seaton Widw/ Bond being a/ collateral security/ Dat 30th Jany 1752' [Note : pre-printed form '..I..am firmly bound to Frances Seaton of Doncaster..in the sum of five thousand two hundred pounds']

- 'Soresby Esq /to/ Mrs Seaton/ Bond/ for £800/ being a Coll/ Security/ Dat 10 Sepr 1750 [ paper - pre-printed form signed by Adam Soresby bound to Frances Seaton of Doncaster for £1600, hand-written note on inside of paper, relating to a further agreeeent for £200. Note Adam Soresby from Low Leighton, Essex]
