Abstract of title of Mr Paul Holmes and his mortgagee to land at Newton Solney and Repton beginning with marriage settlement and lease for possession of 5/6 June 1745 between William Smedley of Newton Solney, yeoman, William Belcher of Newton Solney, husbandman, Thomas Faulkner of Bretby, husbandman and Mary Faulkner of Ashby Old Park, Leicestershire, spinster, by which, in consideration of the marriage between William Smedley and Mary Faulkner, Smedley released to Belcher and Faulkner (Trustees) messuage in Newton Solney, Worsome Close, Repton Brook Close, Hade Land, 1 acre of field land at the Noon Hedge in Hough Field, 2 acres 3 roods lying upon Broomey Flatt, being 10 lands, a hadeland with a balk adjoining and 1 rood of arable land lying at Fish Pool Flatt, 1 cow gate or common of pasture for one cow in a certain place called the stargate and 1 rood of Lott Meadow in the common meadow of Newton Solney, Brook End Close, Moor Close, Pastill Close, moiety of Ken Cross, 3 acres 1 roods 4 perches of arable dispersed in the Date Field, 4 acres 37 perches in the Hough or Hill Field, 2 acres 1 roods 14 perches, in Blaston Field, 1 acres 1 roods 25 perches of meadow ground in Stock Bed Piece and 1 cow gate in Hargate.
