Title
South Normanton Colliery Company letter books
Date
1905-1914
Description
Containing letters received by the company secretary, William H. Mein, arranged alphabetically by surname, with occasional copies of outgoing correspondence. The section covering "M" is the largest because it includes letters from the secretary's brother Andrew Mein, also a company director. The final file in the series consists exclusively of letters from Andrew Mein. The correspondence refers to a wide variety of company business, although most of Andrew Mein's letters concern arrangements and negotiations for sales of coal to particular customers.
