Administrative History | The Sandiacre School Board, established in 1876, was responsible for three schools; the infants school in Victoria Road, and schools in Church Street and Nursery Avenue (known as Ladycross Infants', Cloudside Junior and Friesland Secondary from 1949). When the School Board was abolished in 1903 and control of the schools passed to the County Council they continued to be governed together by joint school managers. Friesland Secondary School established its own board of governors in 1954 whilst the other two schools remained under joint management. |
