DescriptionSettlement after the marriage of Thomas Johnson Sr of Crow Gutter, Ipstones. The estate is transferred from Thomas Johnson Sr to John Prince of Winkhill Laund, Ipstones and Thomas Mott of Ley, Stowe (Co Stafford), yeomen, as trustees. The lower end of Brook Hay to the use of Johnson Sr for his lifetime and thereafter to the use of Johnson Jr. The capital messuage and all other premises mentioned to the use of Prince and Mott for one thousand years then to the use of Johnson Jr. The term of 1000 years is limited upon trust that Prince and Mott pay from the profits of the estate a £5 annuity to Thomas Johnson Jr, and the sum of £445 to divide between the younger children of Johnson Sr: Richard, William, Mary and Ellen, as they come of age.
