Swanwick Hall (Grammar) School
Administrative History
The school occupies the Grade II listed, 18th century Swanwick Hall. It provides comprehensive education up to the age of 18 years. This school was established as a Grammar School in 1922 and become a comprehensive school in 1973. Following an academy conversion agreement dated 30 March 2016 (see DCC/LG/CX/3170) Swanwick Hall School ceased to exist, being replaced by an academy.
Custodial History
This collection comprises a single accession, deposited in Derbyshire Record Office on 14 August 2009. Ownership passed to Derbyshire County Council when the school ceased to exist.
