Administrative History | The Derbyshire Schools Camping Association (DSCA) was a voluntary organisation which first began in the 1920s, run by serving and retired teachers from the county. Each year the association organised two summer camps at Anglesey and Norfolk, attended by 350 to 400 children, from schools throughout Derbyshire. Numbers began to decline in later years and the association was wound up in 2009. |
Custodial History | These records were donated to Derbyshire Record Office in June 2009. A further donation was received from a former treasurer in Feb 2017 (see D7129/UL). |
