Description
In her will proved in April 1863, Elizabeth Greaves, widow of George Greaves, left £1000 to be invested so that the annual interest would be distributed on 1st of February each year for the benefit of poor persons in Wirksworth in sums of no less than 10/- to each poor person.
The late Ms. Greaves also bequeathed the sum of £100 each to: The Society for the promotion of the Gospel in Foreign Parts; The Church Missionary Society; The Bible Society; the Derbyshire General Infirmary; and the Church Pastoral Aid Society.
