Castle Gresley Infants School
Administrative History
Castle Gresley and Linton United District Church of England School opened in August 1880. By 1911, it was known as Castle Gresley Council School, teaching infants within the catchment area of Linton and Castle Gresley Urban District. The school ceased to exist in 2008 when it was permanently closed. Pupils were transferred to Linton Primary School.
Custodial History
These records were deposited in Derbyshire Record Office in several accessions, dated as follows: 22 July 2008; 31 July 2008; 19 August 2008. Ownership passed to Derbyshire County Council when the school ceased to exist.
