| Administrative History | Before becoming a separate school Normanton Infant School was the infant department of Normanton Board School, later Normanton Council School, later Normanton Junior School (D6952). In 1985, the Browning Street annexe of Normanton Infant School separated off as Normanton Village Infant School (D6951).
The school changed its name to Sunnyhill Infants School in 1998. Sunnyhill Infants School amalgamated with Normanton Village Infants School and Normanton Junior School in 2006. In 2008, a new primary school was opened on Browning Street, named Village Primary School. This became Village Primary Academy on its conversion in 2018. |
