Description
Valuations numbered 1-680 of buildings and machinery owned by English Sewing Cotton. At front, there is a key of letters A-M to indicate which branch of the business each asset relates, comprising A for Neilston, B for Matlock, C for Dewhurst, D for Pendlebury, E for Patricroft, F for Armentiere, G for Rickards, H for Belper, I for Strutt Milford, J for Wigley, K for Waters Manchester, L for Waters Longtown, and M for Stockport. The assets are described and date from 1815 and include demolition and scrapping and relocation dates. Four loose-leaf sheets contain some machines numbers and their make and a floor plan of the mill.
