Description
Attendance records signed each week by Anthony Ride, the manager of the school, Phoebe Gregory the schoolmistress, to certify that the girls employed in W.G.& J. Strutt’s factory at Belper have attended the mill school at Belper, Monday to Saturday, either in the morning or afternoon for at least two hours daily. Includes a columns for attendances and absences each week and a column for remarks or causes of absence.
Note at top of front flyleaf "Entered New SChool room Apr 27yh 1840".
Labelled 9 on front cover and front flyleaf, later labelled O1/240 on spine.
