Administrative History | Youlgreave School was first established in 1756, with new premises being built in 1868 on land given by the Duke of Rutland. Prior to 1868, the school had not been under the supervision of an inspector, but was governed by a committee. The new school also had an attached infants' department. In 1953, the school was formally by the Minister of Education divided into two separate voluntary schools to be called Youlgreave Church of England Infants' School and Youlgreave Church of England Juniors School. |
