Administrative History
H.J. Enthoven and Sons was a London based firm which acquired the lead smelter at Darley Dale in 1941, providing employment for many. Since 1981, Enthoven's parent company Billiton UK Ltd has redeveloped the site to provide melting, smelting and refining facilities for recycling lead. These papers relate to the social club that was founded for employees of the Darley plant.
