Lease for 20 years by St John's College, Cambridge to Joseph Bright of Woodthorpe, gentleman, of a farm in Woodthorpe, close adjoining the houses, now divided into two, one part arable the other part pasture, 26 acres, also dwelling house with a lath, cowhouse, ovenhouse and oxhouse, croft of 2a. adjoining the house, two pasture closes 8a. and 2a. lately enclosed for pastime, 1a. meadow ground and 22 a. of arable, in all 15 - 16 acres in Staveley at 10d per annum plus 2 quarts 1 bushel of wheat and 5 bushels of malt 14 Jul
