Title
Wheeled stretcher outside the Loco Works Surgery
Description
The surgery is to the left, where the markings are on the corner. Locomotive stores are further down the left side. The garage is in the background and the works canteen on the right. Wilf Tunnicliffe is on the stretcher. Members of the ambulance team were on standby duty whilst working and were mainly St. John's Ambulance members. The old woodshed is facing in the background of the photo. Further round the corner on the left was a building called the caravan stores. It stored everything to equip some of the old carriages that were placed in disused sidings, and were rented out for holidays etc. This building was one of the first to be constructed at the Loco Works site.
