Title
Loco Works, Derby, looking north.

[mid 20th cent]
Description
The building to the right was the old engine shed, but many years later became the metalerical laboratory where they tested metals and concrete to destruction. To the far left is the old station building, which had to be rebuilt after it was demolished in WW2. The building in the right foreground with the soft water tank on top later became the fire station. This water had to be treated for filling the engine tenders. The tall end buildings in the background were all offices.
