Administrative HistoryThis is a record of payments made to Alfred Day for the firing of china in a biscuit oven. Alfred Day, 1908-1980 lived at Depot Street and Joseph Street in Derby. His father Harry Day (1877-1924) was born in Stoke a sagger maker and his mother Agnes Maud Day (1880-1856) also born in Stoke a potter and fettler. Both worked at Royal Crown Derby Porcelain Company Limited.

Alfred Day was contracted to undertake this work. This workbook shows how much each individual was paid for various tasks assisting Alfred. These tasks mainly seem to have been straightening, drawing and oddwork. The remaining money was Alfred's wages.
Custodial HistoryThe volume was temporarily loaned by a private individual in November 2005 for the Record Office to produce this scanned copy
