Administrative History
The township of Swadlincote was originally in the parish of Church Gresley. A church was built and licensed for baptisms and burials in 1846, before the formation of a separate parish in 1849. The church's dedication is to Emmanuel. There was also a mission room in Swadlincote Road, which was built c1911 and sold c1964.

The records were deposited in July 1969, August 1990 and May 1995.
