Description
signed by James Webster, Richard Milnes senior, Edward White, Samuel Slater, John Allwood, Jonathan Thomlinson, Adam Gill, Thomas Renshaw, James Lunn, Richard Stevenson, Hugh Sharman, Samuel Sleigh, Richard Milnes junior, Henry Ward, John Wragg, Samuel Oates, Joshua Wheldon, and James Milnes, reciting the building of the meeting house and the will of Cornelius Clarke in which he left £80 to buy a house for the minister, now occupied by Robert Ferne. Whereas differences have arisen between Ferne and Presbyterian members of the congregation on the one hand, and those of the congregational persuasion on the other, each party now agrees to pay half the arrears on the meeting house and dwelling house to choose their own minister to preach alternately and for the house to be let after 3 years, and the rent to be divided between the Ministers.
