Aug. 5th 1914. Great War began (over 100 men volunteered from Parish. Total served 225.

Nov 11. 1918 Great Service took place immediately after Armistice officially announced. News came 11.55am. Service at 12.15. Bells rung. Church very full. Office used was the same as for Peace in 1814. 38 men fell from Parish - excluding School.
Jul 7. 1919. Peace Celebrations rather official. Viar away - singularly dull hymns chosen.
October 16. 1921. Electric Light was installed. (cost £135)
