Grin Quarry Branch Junction, Ladmanlow

Description
Grin Quarry opened in 1832, and was connected by a branch in 1857 to the lime kilns operated by the Buxton Lime Co. The branch is shown trailing into the CHPR from the right. The large signal post controlled the movement of trains going in and out of the branch. The upper arm (not visible) controlled movement on the CHPR from Hindlow. The track was removed in 1959 and the signal dismantled on 7 June 1950.
