Title
Steeplehouse Goods
Date
1955
Description
The aftermath of the accident on 31 July, when the trip from Sheep Pasture with 9 empty mineral wagons derailed as a result of the points being set incorrectly (attributed to vandalism), and was diverted into the 60 yard little-used siding. The locomotive subsequently tumbled down 15' to end upside down in the garden of Mrs E M Brown & Mrs J Flint. The photograph is probably from the following day before the rescue of the locomotive commenced.
