Title
Whaley Bridge
Date
1976
Description
Presumably old CHPR wharf buildings on the South side of the transhipment sheds with Canal Street on the right (see John Marshall page 16). Between the photographers position and the buildings, is the site of the curved line from the print works which was linked to, and crossed the main CHPR lines at 90° near the wharf (see Jones & Bentley, part one page 9). This sharply curving track may still be in situ but buried below the surface at the time of the photograph (see 0057/0527)).
