Description
The former CHPR Agent's House at the side of the A6. The former agent to the CHPR Francis Barton who replaced John Leonard c1849, was given notice to quit the house as instructions were given to convert the house into two cottages in 1875. The Agent's House was sold by British Rail to Matlock UDC on the 6th February 1967. It is two separate properties to this day. In the extreme left background is the A6 bridge over the CHPR line.
