DescriptionThe indicator mechanism inside the engine house to provide communication with the bottom of the incline for the start of runs. The lower wheel also operated by a chain and counterweight was possibly connected to the incline top signal. Note the bells to give an audible warning in addition to the pointer of the indicator providing a visual warning.
