Description
The SLS High Peak Tour climbing the Harpur Hill Spur propelled by both locomotives 42079 Fairburn 2-6-4T and 48532 Stanier 8F 2-8-0. The Buxton & High Peak Junction Line No.2, a link of 76 chains (just under a mile) joined the former Buxton & High Peak Junction Railway No.1 to the C&HPR at Harpur Hill. Both the B&HPJR and the spur were opened on 27th June 1892. The train is presumably commencing the 1:41 climb with the B&HPJR No.1 line on the left.
