Title
Longcliffe Goods
Date
1965
Description
The gable end of former cottages and the station masters house that contained the stables and the hay loft, presumably associated with the days of horse-drawn traffic on the railway. The former connection to the siding by the loading wharf and access to Mr. W. Jones' limestone quarry has been severed. A pair of water tanks are just beyond Longcliffe bridge on the down loop line just beyond the points for the siding to the coal wharves. In the background is Hoe Grange Quarry on the north side of the line. What are the four (presumed metal), objects propped up against the gable wall? The photograph is of the latter date, as the connection to the loading wharf was still present in 1958.
