TitleHopton Tunnel
Date1967
DescriptionView in the down direction towards the west portal of Hopton Tunnel along the track bed through the cutting. Had it of not been for the right of way above the tunnel, it would have been more logical to have made a cutting. In 1880 three labourers engaged in work arching over the roof of the tunnel were killed as a result of a rock fall.
