The impressive riveted water tank on brick piers is beyond the loco on the left. Note the lever for regulating the water supply designed for use from the loco running plate. In the background is Middleton Moor with Hoptonwoodstone Quarry just visible. Dene Quarry is just visible above the wall on the right. |
