DescriptionThe northern terminus of the southern section of the CHPR, that existed between 1892 and 1958. The section north from here to Shallcross was abandoned with the opening of the London & North Western, High Peak Junction Railway on 27th June 1892. The bridge (No.54), used to carry the old road from Buxton to Macclesfield across the railway.
