Small rough notebook, including assessments for townships including Bradwell, Woodland, Thornhill, Aston, Brough and Shatton, Offerton, Castleton, edale, Peak Forest, with totals; notes of levies for trained soldiers, bridge repairs, maimed soldiers, etc.; receipts for hearth tax from various townships, July 1663, with totals; expenses, chiefly in connection with hearth tax collection; JPs' warrants; 'going to excise men at Tideswell', 'Robert Glossop for repairing the town stocks', attendance at Quarter Sessions, 'going to the muster at Chesterfield', etc., July-November 1663.
