The Evening Institute or Evening School as it was otherwise known was run by Derbyshire Education Authority. The courses offered were fee-paying and included Art, Basketball, Archery, Football, Netball, Athletics, Photography, Dressmaking, Woodwork etc. These miscellaneous papers were deposited in Derbyshire Record Office via one of Pinxton's surviving schools.
