Description	Mrs Korner was born in the former Czechoslovakia and came to Britain after the Nazi invasion in 1939. She became an eminent figure within the NHS. The Korner Report dealt with the use of medical health statistics within the health service. The report resulted in the award to Mrs. Korner of a CBE in 1984.
