Administrative History
John B Wallis was a writer on local natural history. He contributed articles regularly to local papers, many under the byline 'the Rambling Naturalist'. He married on 15 July 1899 and died in 1953. He recorded his natural history observations in a series of 90 diaries beginning in 1901 and continuing until just before his death in 1953.

These records were donated to Derbyshire Record Office in February 2003.
