Archive Creator	Derby Borough Council: Education Committee
Administrative History	Derby Borough Council was appointed a Local Education Authority under the 1902 Education Act. Responsibility for education passed to Derbyshire County Council under the 1972 Local Government Act. Responsibility transferred to the new unitary authority, Derby City Council, in 1997.
Custodial History	These records transferred to Derbyshire Record Office from Derby Local Studies Library in February 2003 and April 2023.
