The partners included Richard Bagshawe, who became High Sheriff of Derbyshire. By the 18th century, the Duke of Devonshire had a stake in the mine. Lead mining was in operation there until 1869, after which it was briefly mined for fluorspar and barite in 1908-9. The site is now owned by The National Trust.
