James Alexander Macdonald (1847-1935) was the Work's Director of Markhams at the time of his death. The fund was set up under the terms of his will to benefit employees of the company who required help in times of trouble. The fund was discontinued in 1998 when the firm ceased trading in Chesterfield. |
