Benjamin Durden of Winster, shoemaker
Administrative History
Benjamin Durden was born in Winster in 1795 and was married there in 1819. The parish register includes the baptism of nine children between 1820 and 1837. Two of the children died in infancy and four died when aged between 11 and 19 years. Benjamin Durden died in 1867: there are family gravestones in Winster churchyard. His two surviving sons became shoemakers in Winster
