Administrative History
A Wesleyan Chapel was built on Chapel Lane in 1838. This became a private residence in 1933, which was later demolished to accommodate a new residence known as 'Chapel House'. The Church occupied the original Village School on Chaddesden Lane from 1933 to 1957, the school having moved to Morley Road.
Mayfield Road Methodist Church was built in 1928, with the stone-laying ceremony taking place in 21 July of that year.
