Shipley and Cotmanhay Boys School
Administrative History
Shipley and Cotmanhay National School opened in 1842. After several enlargements it had departments for boys, girls and infants. The Boys and Girls departments became Shipley Council School in 1905 when management of the school passed to Derbyshire County Council. The infants school closed in 1911 and children joined the council school.

Acquired by Derbyshire Record Office in 2002. Found among papers of donor's husband
