Administrative HistoryThe Oread Mountaineering Club started in 1949. It was involved in the earliest Gritstone Guide Series (1950/51), and its expeditions include Arctic Norway (1951), Spitzbergen (1952), South Georgia (1954/55), and the Himalayas (1961).
Custodial HistoryThese records were deposited in the Record Office in Feb 2002 by a founder member of the club.
