Title
Plan of the Burbage Collieries area near Buxton, extending under the old Buxton to Macclesfield road, the new Buxton to Macclesfield road and the Buxton to Congleton road, near the Axe Edge Toll Bar and the Cromford and High Peak railway line. Plan is coloured to show date of working by the Buxton Lime Company of different areas of the Goyts Coal Seam (Jan 1859 to Jan 1894) and the House Coal Seam (Jan 1859 to Oct 1902) (scale: 2 chains to 1 inch)

Description
The plan also includes section of the Upper or Goyts Coal Tunnel (near the old Buxton-Macclesfield road) showing strata cut through; section also shows surface over the tunnel, including coal outcrops and location of pits (horizontal scale: 2 chains to 1 inch; vertical scale: 40 feet to 1 inch)
