Administrative History | On the death of Anthony, 5th Earl of Newburgh in 1814, the earldom was claimed by Francis Eyre of Hassop (1762 - 1827). The Eyres continued to use the title until the death, unmarried, of Francis, 8th Earl of Newburgh in 1852. |
