Administrative History
The Clergy of the Church of England Database (http://theclergydatabase.org.uk/) confirms that Thomas Ward was appointed curate of Turnditch in 1750. The original version of this catalogue referred to "Richard Clive" because of a mis-reading of a signature in the book. The Clergy database names Benjamin Clive as the vicar of Duffield 1735-1759.
