Title | Assignment of lease by Elizabeth Hill, widow, of Pyrton, executrix of last will of Thomas Eustace, gentleman, of Pyrton, uncle of Thomas Eustace, deceased, and Martha Eustace, widow, of Pyrton, executrix of Thomas Eustace the nephew, to Thomas Eustace, milliner and alderman of Oxford, reciting that Elizabeth, Martha and Thomas were legally possessed of parsonage at Pyrton for a term of years, and that their interest was surrendered to Dean and Chapter of Christchurch, Oxford, to use that latter might lease it to Elizabeth and Martha for 21 years, followed by assignment of parts of parsonage to Thomas Eustace, alderman; lease was executed 20 May 1701, of parsonage, tithes and glebelands at Pyrton, subject to trusts in last wills of Thomas Eustace the uncle and nephew; now Elizabeth and Martha have conveyed to Thomas all tithes belonging to Pyrton parsonage for remainder of term of 21 years, at rent of £3 9s 4d per annum to Elizabeth and Martha, and of market price of one quarter of wheat & 5 quarters, 4 bushels, 3 pecks, one quart and one pint of barley malt to Dean and Chapter of Christchurch (being 1/5 of rent reserved to them in above lease, rent being divided into 5); Elizabeth and Martha will try to renew lease by eighth year of present term, for another 21 years, and execute a new assignment. |
