Description
Saving all timber, mines, quarries and hunting;
not to sub let or assign, or occupy any other person's lands within 6 miles of Birkin (Yorks);
to scour ditches every 3 years;
not to sell any hay, manure, dung or ashes on pain of 20 s a cart load, but to spread it on land;
not to plough or burn more than 80 acres in order to preserve present quantity of arable, on pain of £5 for every acre ploughed above 80 acres;
provision for replacement of ploughed up grass;
to make summer fallow of ¼
of arable each year;
to do 2 boon days each year and give 4 fowls at Christmas.
