Copy lease and release by John Raphson esquire and Sir Robert Thornhill, knight, of Middle Temple and Thomas Wright, gentleman, of Sheffield, devisee and executor of Vannam Clayton, gentleman, deceased, of Clowne, to Ann Clayton, widow and relict of Robert Clayton of Birkin (Yorks), and devisee of Elizabeth Taylor, deceased, of Birkin (Yorks), reciting lease and release of 20/22 July 1706 [D547M/T227] and defeasance of 22 July 1706

Description
By which if Elizabeth Taylor paid £1236 to Robert Thornhill by 23 Jan. 1706/7, then his trustees would assign her all their interest in lands in release of 22 July 1706. Reciting also will of Elizabeth Taylor, and settlement of 12 May 1713 [D547M/T232], and reciting that £1200 has been paid to Robert Thornhill at direction of Thomas Wright, and that by deed of even date [below] Robert Thornhill, Charlwood Lawton and William Bruncker have assigned all their interest in the lands;
now, in accordance with an order of Chancery of 6 Nov. 1716, and to discharge Birkin (Yorks) holme from mortgage of £1200, Birkin (Yorks) holme (140 acres) and lands usually enjoyed with it, are released to Ann Clayton.
