Copy lease and release by Ann Marriott, spinster, of South Normanton, Elizabeth Marriott, widow, of Fulwood Fields, Ann Wing, widow, of Sheffield, Joseph Bamforth, grocer, of Sheffield, and Mary his wife, and Robert Johnson and Sarah his wife, to John Norborne, gentleman, of Barlborough, of one close at Eller Tree Piece (abuttals) ½ acre in Oxcroft field (abuttals), 1½ acres dispersed in the Church Field (abuttals), in acres dispersed in the Church Field (abuttals), in Clowne, all previously mortgaged for £120 on 20/21 May 1767 by Robert Johnson, now bankrupt, to John Marriott

Recites that lease and release made in pursuance of commission of bankruptcy and in order to avoid cost of suit for foreclosure of mortgage; consideration £90 6s Original dated 27/28 Sept. 1776.
Note that John Norborne covenants with Rev. Thomas Wright of Birkin (Yorks) to produce this deed to prove the title of Wright to land at Eller tree piece, conveyed to Wright on 7 Dec.
