Lease for 21 years by Rev Thomas Wright, clerk, of Birkin (Yorks) (county Yorks.) to Thomas Tompkin, yeoman, of Clowne, of a messuage in Clowne with closes enjoyed with it, namely Little Yard, Great Yard, Crown Lands, Whickett Pees, Lime Kill close, Lime Kill Holes, Rowthorn Well Close, Esps, the 3 pastures and the Upper Crown Lands, with parcels of uninclosed land in High Ash Field, Oscroft Field, Bruck Field (64 acres in total), at a rent of £30 per annum, saving mines, minerals and quarries, timber and hunting

Tompkin to pay £5 per acre ploughed if in last 3 years of lease he ploughs more than 1/3 in total, or any part of 2 pastures next to the turnpike road, or croft next to the house; only to sublet the messuage, Esps and open fields; to do 2 days labour each year with a good team; if Wright approve's of Thomas Thomkin, nephew of Thomas Thompkin above, at age 21, they may release lands to him for remainder of term.
